UCM: Praetorians

The Praetorian Special Forces are in an entirely different league from standard legionnaires. While their equipment is similar to that utilised by the ordinary infantry, the Praetorians are the epitome of the elite soldier. Ascension to their ranks in through extended service and merit only.

They are deadly warriors through skill and aggression, not through exotic wargear, and are specialists in room clearance, CQB and clandestine operations. Praetorians shun the open battlefield, where their skills are of little use against superior firepower.

Praetorians favour the Raven Light Dropship as their transport of choice, since it provides a high speed route to their objective. Praetorians are trained to fast-rope from these aerial platforms directly onto their objectives, increasing the element of surprise before their devastating assault.
